The Path to our Tiny Beach...
On the right shows the view from our balcony right on the water. Somehow, even in the height of the season, this part of Mani is never crowded. The water, as you can see, is like a swimming pool.
We had the bay all to ourselves more than once. This is my special place in the world to swim.
This area is well known for the architects who were drawn to this beautiful peninsula in the Peloponese. The stone here is magnificent. All of the architecture is built completely out of this ancient stone.
Of course, like all small villages by the sea, the fishermen or restaurant owners fish for each night's dinner. This is what living in Greece is all about. It may be special to us, but here, it's just the way of life.

Traveling in the Peloponese is rich with both mountain and sea experiences. Islands can be fun, but this is the real Greece. You get to know a lot about the culture just driving through. There is such a peace here. A lot has to do with the pace. Making money is not the main goal in Greece. Quality of life is.
