If you waited for an Emergency to plan,
you are not alone...
Denial kept me from planning
So, although denial may be the #1reason why people do not plan, denial manifests in many ways.
My goal is to change the status quo of waiting until crisis to act, into a proactive mindset for planning in advance for something no one wants to even think about, until they must. You can’t just hope for the best and knowing where the nursing home is, is not a plan.
The benefits are immeasurable, but they can never be fully appreciated until one actually goes through the process. You don’t know what you don’t know, and emotion always gets in the way of clear thinking, especially under stress.
Hope is not a Strategy
I wrote the book...
...to show how every decision, good or bad, has a ripple effect. Just like when the butterfly flaps its wings and can be felt around the world, planning-in-advance creates a ripple effect of good outcomes. That is why I refer to planning-in-advance as the lovecare effect. Taking the time to make well thought out decisions helps you to know what to expect, plan for it and coordinate with family. This is love in action.
It doesn’t matter whether your family is close or not, rich or poor, religious or not religious……….it’s about focusing on what works, instead of what’s wrong. This one simple shift in perspective can change everything. I designed my logo to be a butterfly with wings in the shape of a heart. It is a symbol of both love and transformation. Caregiving is about both.
Love is in the details...

The “Give Back” Program
Part of the Give Back Program is the Scholarship Fund. 50% of the items listed will go to funding scholarships to help caregivers and their families to navigate the planning of Long-Term Care. There are many challenges from logistics to family dynamics that can be made so much easier with the right guidance and support.
Every purchase helps!
And this is how my Journey led me to you...
